CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
The BF.PRA series linear slot diffusers, with one or more slots and a perimeter frame, are generally installed in enclosed environments with a height ranging from 2.7 to 4.0 meters, and are designed for HVAC systems operating with a temperature difference between room air and supply air of ±10 K.The most common installation method is ceiling-mounted, allowing full utilization of the Coandă effect.
They can also be installed on walls. In this case, if the distance between the upper edge of the diffuser and the ceiling is less than 200 mm, the Coandă effect is still achieved; otherwise, the air throw occurs in free space.
Thanks to the simplicity and clean lines of their distinctive design, the BF.PRA series is highly appreciated by architects and designers, who see in it not only technical functionality but also an aesthetic element for interior design. They can be used for both supply and return air, and are suitable for variable air volume (VAV) systems operating within the 50% to 100% flow range. In special configurations, multiple units can be installed in sequence to form continuous linear strips, which—using special non-active corner elements—can follow the ideal perimeter lines of the room. Each slot is equipped with a manually adjustable deflection element, accessible from the front, allowing the air throw direction to be varied from horizontal to vertical. When opposite throw directions are set for each slot, the so-called “opposed throw” is achieved.
