CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
The BF.E series linear slot diffusers, available with one or more slots, are generally installed in enclosed environments with a height ranging from 2.7 to 4.0 meters, and are designed for HVAC systems operating with a temperature difference between room air and supply air of ±10 K.
The most common installation method is ceiling-mounted, allowing full utilization of the Coandă effect. They can also be installed on walls; in this case, if the distance between the upper edge of the diffuser and the ceiling is less than 200 mm, the Coandă effect is still achieved. Otherwise, the air throw takes place in free space.
Because of the simplicity and linearity of their particular design, they are highly appreciated by architects and designers who find, in the BF.E series linear diffusers, not only a plant functionality but also a motif for decoration. They can be used for both supply and return air, and are suitable for variable air volume (VAV) systems operating within the 50% to 100% flow range. In special execution, they can be mounted one after the other to form continuous strips that, with the use of special non-active angle pieces, are able to follow the ideal lines of the room perimeter. Each slot is equipped with a manually adjustable deflection element, accessible from the front, allowing the air throw direction to be varied from horizontal to vertical. When opposite throw directions are set for each slot, the so-called “opposed throw” is achieved.
