CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
The BF.DUC series linear slot diffusers with concealed perimeter frame, available with one or two slots, are generally installed in enclosed environments with a height ranging from 2.7 to 5.0 meters, and are designed for HVAC systems operating with a temperature difference between room air and supply air of ±10 K.
The most common installation method is flush with the ceiling, which allows for full use of the Coandă effect. They can also be installed on walls; in this case, if the distance between the upper edge of the diffuser and the ceiling is less than 200 mm, the Coandă effect is still achieved. Otherwise, the air throw occurs in free space.
By setting opposite throw directions for each slot, the so-called “opposite throw” is achieved. The concealed perimeter frame, designed to facilitate plastering, makes the BF.DUC series popular with architects and stylists who find in it not only plant functionality but also a motif for decor. They can be used for both supply and return air, and are suitable for variable air volume (VAV) systems operating within the 50% to 100% flow range. In special execution, they can be mounted one after the other to form continuous strips that, with the use of special non-active angle pieces, are able to follow the ideal line of the room perimeter. A manually steerable de ession element is mounted inside each slot from the front, which allows for a variable throw direction from horizontal to vertical.
