CONSTRUCTION CHARACTERISTICS
Rectangular silencer with sound-absorbing baffles and SOLID side half-baffles for containing regenerated noise.
Sound-absorbing baffles, 200 mm thick, are firmly secured to the supporting structure using screws and/or rivets, with a 100 mm air passage.
SIL. series silencers are used for the attenuation of noise generated within ducts in air conditioning and ventilation systems.
Effective silencer sizing is aimed at optimizing the balance between maximum noise attenuation, limiting self-generated noise, and minimizing the pressure drop generated by the silencer itself; the parameters to be considered for silencer selection are: airflow rate, pressure drop, sound attenuation, and geometric dimensions.
Sound attenuation data tested according to ISO 11691 standard at the Giordano Institute (test report No. 142976).
Pressure drop measurement performed according to ISO 7244 standard at the Giordano Institute (test report No. 136363).
Self-generated noise level measurements performed according to ISO 23741 standard at the Giordano Institute (test report No. 149877).
