Officine Volta – ESG e Sostenibilità Ambientale

29 Jun 2026

At OFFICINE VOLTA, the topic of sustainability, alongside that of corporate social responsibility, has been part of our internal discussions for years.
As our Managing Director, Nicola Guerra, says: “When we decided to install a solar panel system on the roof of our building, we started from the need to cut down the energy costs associated with our manufacturing operations and, in doing so, we began our journey towards sustainability, convinced that it is a broad target, one that must involve many aspects of our society and whose ultimate aim cannot be merely to combat climate change”.

That decision gave rise to a broader journey.
For us, sustainability means looking within the company, understanding our impacts, measuring performance and contributing to the spreading of a cultural model based on fairness, respect for natural resources, waste reduction, corporate welfare and care for the community.

We are implementing an ESG performance reporting system, focused on the areas of sustainability relevant to our organization.

It is a process based on a four-stage journey that will lead to our social report:

  1. We analyze our value chain to consolidate best practices and their ESG impacts.
  2. Based on the ESRS standard promoted by the European Union, we identify impacts, risks and opportunities, before moving on to stakeholder engagement.
  3. Through dialogue with stakeholders, we will define a strategic action plan, integration with sector regulations, and KPIs to monitor results over time. The strategic plan for implementing these actions will be defined.
  4. During this phase, the company’s sustainability report will be drafted and the action monitoring plan for the coming years will be established.

Sustainability must be taken seriously, because it cannot be an empty word or a marketing label. It is a journey that requires awareness, measurement and continuous improvement.
